Re-imagining a driver benefits program focused on education.

Advised on establishing a viable fully-paid for educational benefits program for 3M+ drivers that would provide substantial value to drivers and increase driver retention, a core metric for Uber. Prior to this program, Uber began a pilot college degree benefit program in partnership with Arizona State University. The program scored low on driver achievability since full completion for a degree would take 8 years. Our program focused insterad on designing an English learning education opportunity that would show measurable results in
a shorter period of time and in a flexible learning environment. I researched and worked with online and mobile English learning platforms based on their unique learning modalities, engagement and retention rates, product customization with the Uber App, and overall fit with the Uber mission and platform. As of May 2020, the program is in the final stages of negotiations with two vendor platforms.
